GRAND ribs

Anyone had any experience of this make. Specifically the 470 model. Nice looking quality ribs I know they dont have the deepest hull but for my use it will be fine and they are sold by willsmarine. Advice please! Maybe sea trial soon.

Don't really know a lot about grand ribs but you should compare it to the Capelli Tempest 470 (Rubber boat, RIB) | boat24.com/uk

Longjohn has one and I've crossed the Channel with him and also been over to the Isles of Scilly. An awesome rib and probably overlooked by many...

A zodiac 500 pro is a 4.7m
Also look at Ribcraft 4.8
Better still Avon Searider 4.7

But if you want the leisure look search hard for the capelli 470

No! The first one said it didnt go through so i retyped it and then it showed both..... I have no idea how to delete it. Anyways,
Yes zodiacs great hull had one before but very expensive and they are a bit 'serious', and the leisure ones are a bit too much for me.

So anyone know much about the brig 500, grand 470.......
Also willsmarine make 'willsribs'. Good value for the 5 metre one with a 90hp. Plus look really nice

I know its £100 too cheap, so brig / wolf rock can't afford to invest in marketing!

I think that "Built to a price point" is the trade term Poly.

I personally would never go for the grand or brig (nearly the same) because i know one who has brig and it is terrible in a slight breeze or some chop... The boat is good for a year or something but then it brakes because the bad tubes...
The capelli is good and would definitely go for it!

Personally, I love my Walker Bay Generation 430 (now sold as a 450 or 500). It's a 'leisure' RIB but with a fairly deep V hull. Appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea but then neither is an SR

Also Brig in my experiences are nice boats. They are good quality but they are a bit common now in devon, plus I like a bit of personality when it comes to a boat, they seem a bit 'safe'.
Thanks for all the replies.

I have seen the Wills Ribs in Kingsbridge and you are right; all the red logo's have faded to pink.

All the others have. Somebody suggested some solution which I cover the badge in before it goes in the water. Its still shiny new! All the others are basically white now though......Although I must say the trailer made by vandercraft has had a few problems with its rollers- all fixed now.
