Anybody going to be out on the Thames saturday (7th)?
Its the time of year again where we watch fools row from Richmond to the dome. I will be there in offical capacity helping with race saftey/communications and transporting the scout radio team around.
I won't be able to make it this year, but it's a great event.
I can recommend Chiswick Pier as a good vantage point. It's got the only public visitor moorings on the tideway and for the Great River Race they have also got a Fuller's bar, hog roast, refreshments and live music.
The race boats will be going past between 4.30 and 6.30pm and at 3.30pm there's a sponsored cross river swim!
