an open invitation to all our international racing friends!

Following discussions and after the excellent cooperation between sponsors, manufacturers, pilots & teams, for more than a decade, ROTA the Rhodian Powerboat Club, is pleased to announce the organization of 100 mile Powerboat Rally, the Round of Rhodes and the Colossus Powerboat Circuit Race", that will be carried out during 14 & 15 of May 2016.

The aim is to offer the participants a fair chance to give their best shot, with the very simple following standards:

Saturday 14 of May, a rally type race of 100 nautical miles in total, the Round of Rhodes Powerboat Rally, in which can participate powerboats from both general classes of Sport & Normal

Sunday 15 of May 2016, a Circuit type race (two stages of 10 nautical miles each one) the Colossus Powerboat Circuit Race", in which can participate powerboats only from the Sport classes.

The categorization of the participating powerboats, will take place with the very simple following specifications.
The Ultimate responsibility for the classification in the following six categories will have the Racing Committee of the Rhodian Club.

Normal 4C Class: in this category can participate powerboats with one four cylinder engine.
Vessels must be with original factory settings without any modification (consoles, seats, roll bar, etc. exactly as produced by the manufacturer)
Foot throttle use is not allowed.
The crew may be from minimum 2 up to 4 persons

Normal 6C Class: in this category can participate powerboats with one six cylinder engine.
Vessels must be with original factory settings without any modification (consoles, seats, roll bar, etc. exactly as produced by the manufacturer)
Foot throttle use is not allowed.
The crew may be from minimum 2 up to 4 persons

Normal OPEN Class: in this category can participate powerboats with one eight cylinder engine, or two any kind engines.
Vessels must be with original factory settings without any modification (consoles, seats, roll bar, etc. exactly as produced by the manufacturer)
Foot throttle use is not allowed.
The crew may be from minimum 2 up to 4 persons

Sport 4C Class: in this category can participate powerboats with one four-cylinder engine.
Any modification is allowed.
Powerboats Exclusively with bucket seats and foot throttle.
The crew must be exclusively of 2 persons.

Sport 6C Class: in this category can participate powerboats with one six-cylinder engine.
Any modification is allowed.
Powerboats Exclusively with bucket seats and foot throttle.
The crew must be exclusively of 2 persons.

EVOLUTION OPEN Class: in this category can participate powerboats with one eight cylinder engine, or two any kind engines.
Any modification is allowed.
Powerboats Exclusively with bucket seats and foot throttle.
The crew must be exclusively of 2 persons.

Defined entry fee in the amount of 200 euros per team, from two up to four persons team, to cover part of the organization needs.
The participation fee includes: the accommodation for 2 nights (up to 4 persons), a gala dinner, the prize giving awards ceremony, the placing of a tracking transceiver and live viewing position device, the ferry boats discounts and other benefits that the Rhodian Club will ensure.

To secure participation, the entry fee must be paid up until Friday the 15th of April 2016, in the ROTA Boat Club Bank account.

The Club has the right, if there is problem with not sufficient number of powerboats participating up until the 15th of April 2016, to cancel the race and return the entry fee.
