Gunwharf

Hi All, I would like to stay in Portsmouth for the night over this coming weekend. Planning to overnight at Gunwharf Quay. Its only a small RIB (5.5m) so wondering is Gunwharf too exposed to big wash etc? Dont want the boat to spend the night getting chucked about the place whilst tied to an exposed pontoon. thoughts and experiences appreciated please. Thanks

Hey, not at all - there’s no shortage of big boats nearby but the marina is tucked away in the corner and reasonably well sheltered. Worth popping a land line call in before hand, the berthing staff tend to knock off at 17:30 so if you arrive after that you might end up on the wet side of the gate without an access code
