I think Simon now goes by the name of mungersdelight on Ebay.
His mobile, which is on the Ebay advert, is 07764 151051.

Yep Simon is still aout - spoke to him yesterday - I just missed a Halmatic 28 with two sets of tubes for £12K - absolutely gutted - most of the Arctic 24's
etc have been sold by the MOD so no more coming along for a while :-( - but there's still plenty of PAC22's - one with a Jet drive (No engine) for £4.5K in Leigth Scotland.
I really want a 24 with twin Etec G1 250's - :-)

Wow! Mine will hit 47 knots with a single verado. Not sure you'll have much room on the transome for 2?

Definitely enough room for two. All the MOD ones run with twins and this had twin Honda 135 on it when I bought it.

Wasn’t happy with the finish so it’s had another run down and then another thick layer of flowcoat. Then another flat back, the sprayed on a layer of gel coat.
One day i will get this thing finished!!

Could you explain the painting process again thanks as I am confused. I understood flowcoat was a waterproof coating and does not need to be followed by a gelcoat. I am nearly ready for painting my pac 22 hull and would really like to get it right first time albeit learning by others unfortunate mistakes

You should speak to Nugent in here. He sprays a lot of boat hills using 2k instead of flow coat or gel coat with superb finishes.
Find him on here

If I’m right, flowcoat is gelcoat with added wax to make it go off. To be honest, I’ve never heard of gelcoat being added on top of flowcoat. Flowcoat is good but it’s really hard to get a good finish as you need to sand, sand, sand and more sand to get any kind of decent finish. Your better of off using 2k poly, but as stated, get some advice from Nugent on here.

Yeh I think hes written that the wrong way round, you would lay down gelcoat first either brush or spray then apply flowcoat (gelcoat with wax added) to make the surface cure. Without the wax the gelcoat will stay sticky & be a bitch to do anything with

Sorry yes typo! It’s all flow coat but the last coat is spray flowcoat with a colour pigment added. To be honest this is all new to me!

Looking good Rob,
Spraying flo coat is not an easy procedure for sure, presume u are using a G100 gun?
It's still a ball ache nocking it all back then mopping a finish into'it,
This new gear from HMG Acrythane G4 is a nano coating and to be honest makes life easier and is very hard wearing , I did. A 7 mtr oxen pro a year ago for Dave Hawker , seen it few mths back looks as good as the day I did it, , credit to the owner too tho, looks after it,
HMG polykote MU primer
HMG Acrythane G4.
Swear by it, do,it regularly on a 9 mtr pro now, same process
