If memory serves me, Aladdins Cave had them. 02380 402182.
Or you could try Ron Hale. 023 9273 2985.
If either can get them, they should be happy enough to send them out..

How are you so familiar with the area?
Thanks

Born not far away from me then and glad to hear you still consider yourself to be a Welshman!!
Not necessarily bad service but unfair removal of agreed advertising due to a certain person who works there whose relation is in competition to the 'said' advertiser (despite much business which 'used' to be sent their way).
Say no more (if any of that made sense??!!)
You should bring your RIB 'home' one day for a play!!
Cheers

Hatches
I believe the hatches in question are actually manufactured by Viking Hatches and are wholesaled through Aqua Marine Ltd. We get the same things in to order to fit to our larger RIBs - very tough and will stand walking on, much stronger than the Plastimo versions.
If you have no success in locating any I will be happy to order some in for you with our next batch.
The three handled hatch retails at £56.00 + VATand the two handled one at £37.00 + VAT - we can supply them for £49.95 + VAT & £34.00 + VAT respectively.

Can anybody get the centre section only (the indestructable bit that breaks if you tread on it!). Seems like a lot of dosh for a bit of plastic? Aqua Marine won't help (and don't sell direct to the public BTW).
Thx

Barnet Marine fit them to their XS-RIBs. Knowing them they'll sell you one and post it out not a bother. Yes they are very strong and can withstand heavy guys jumping on them from a pier 3-4ft above, I know!!)

Hatches
These hatches are only available as complete units ie frame and hatch, Aqua Marine do not list or supply them in component form - so unless you can find a builder who has "scrapped" a frame on fitting who may then sell you the spare insert I think it unlikely that you will get hold of just that part.

Hatches on my Redbay
For anyone with an older Redbay,
I have discovered that the forward hatches were made by Osculati. These were reinforced I assume by Redbay as the treadmaster is over the scews with a wooden bracer across the middle. Replacement latches are availble from IMS 01427 617845, I've just had to order some more after the handles had broken off making access to the anchor etc rather difficult!!
I belive the current Redbay hatches are a different manufaturer but still available from IMS.
Now just got to measure them up for new seals as I'm getting bored of biling those lockers out!!

I think there must be several manufactures of this type of hatch because of the mixed opinion on them. In my experience they are not as strong as I was lead to believe and far from water proof, but this might be because I had a weaker version. The hatch I had was CE marked, well it had a CE sticker, which is something or nothing.
Osculati are wholesalers so I would be surprised if they make these hatches.
It always interests me how a product is marked if a manufacture is proud of his product he puts the name where you can see it, I can’t find any names on these hatches.
