It's a seller's market, they can charge what they think they can get away with. Doesn't mean they'll sell it of course. Tad lardy with that 40hp on it though.

Just over £8k!

If you want to buy a boat that's basically what you have to pay at the moment. Nothing for sale and lots of buyers...

Market in Ireland has gone nuts. My Sr4 hull was stolen and sold on (long story) and have been trying to find a replacement since. Tried to buy a really nice original sr4 for 5k in the deep west of Ireland , it was gone in an hour and the seller said he could have sold 10 of them that day.

Supply has dried up from UK, Covid bank balances and summer have made the ultimate sellers market.

Word is that 15-20yo Redbay's are fetching as near as dammit their original purchase prices. Which is mental, but real. It's a great time to sell, but once you do - you're not getting another boat at sensible money for two years.

Imma hold onto mine as "no boat" is easy to type but hard to say

It's gone insane everywhere.
I think it'll settle down when nothing sells for ages.

I believe quite a lot IS selling at the moment?

Either way, I still agree with you that it'll quieten down, life will eventually return to normal and people will do their foreign holidays instead.

It is, but it's getting sillier by the minute.

2 ads local to me.... 1970s Microplus with a £1500 40hp on....£3900
1990s Yamaha jetski with a blown motor in bits and missing parts £900

Are you sure you're not just getting old?

I remember when I used to drink beer at 95p per pint, and even £2 per pint doesn't seem too long ago. But apparently it's heading up towards £4 these days.

Yeah. I remember my mother (I was quite a bit too young to drive at the time) was apoplectic about it.

No, the cabin cruiser is a wreck, 500 quid at best, 750 with the trailer without the engine.

The ski...Barn find might be best way of describing it.

Let the fox see the rabbit!

This stuff is more commercially orientated, but wouldn't be the first time someone has bought outside their comfort zone because the market is tight and also A) it was available, and B) I'm here now after 6 hours on the road, let's be having it!
