Hayling Rescue
Thought you might like to see Franks figures for last year. These would have just been around Chichester Harbour or out in the Bay. This was posted on the Friends of Hayling Rescue Facebook page.
For those who don't know, Hayling Rescue is a one man outfit. 40 years in the rescue business (20 RNLI) Frank Dunster who is HR, operates a large Jet RIB based in Chichester Harbour and is on call 24/7. He does odd commercial stuff such as ferrying yachts around with his RIB, but his main purpose is to be there for people in trouble. If you find yourself in trouble around the Chichester Harbour area he is always monitoring the 4 radios on his RIB (call sign Hayling Rescue) or you can telephone him on 07748 997105.
Hayling Rescue
Hayling Rescue in 2011 took part in 212 rescue incidents as well as all the commercial work. these incidents involved 4 sinking boats the righting of 44 capsized dinghys pulling 31 grounded yachts into deeper water rescuing 12 windsurfers diving underneath 16 yachts to clear fouled propellors towing home 38 boats with engine failure 2 boats on fire first aid rendered on 3 occassions and a host of other incidents. sadly i have to admit that it was just a typical year
