Hello From The USA

Just want to say "Hi!". I stumbled across your forum by accident. My name is Russ Withiam and I live in New York State in the USA. I would like to get some info on performance RIBS that run a single outboard. I saw an advertisement for RIB Unlimited that are produced in Sweden, I think. Any others that I should be aware of. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Regards, Russ

Hi Russ!

RIB Unlimited are indeed the obvious choice -- after all they made the fastest RIB ever . . .

Others that come to mind are Mark Pascoe's SportRIB which is available in a fully faired race version, as well as Scorpion and Revenger who both make RIBS favoured by racers.

What do you plan to use it for?

John

John, thanks for the feedback. I would be using it for pleasure use. I am a performance nut at heart, regardless of the sport. RIBS seem to be an alternative to fiberglass boats. I know that Fabio Buzzi came over to the "States" and showed us what an inflatable boat could do with a diesel no less.
The fact that they weigh less than a conventional boat has some benefits.
I noticed that you are running a Yamaha. I had one on a 21 foot Switzer. It was a 225 HP on a CMC hydraulic jackplate.
On it's best day it ran a solid 80 MPH.
I will look for some distributors of the RIBS that you mentioned.
Thanks again, Russ Withiam

You will find contact details for them in the directory. They may not have specific US distributors though, so you may need to order direct from the UK.

There is a list of all the available manufactures in the U.S. on the latest issue of R.I.B. Magazine. Check it out....
Or better yet, if you ever go south, look up Nautica, in Miami.
Big motors and big boats are great, Nautica has the quality and the craftmanship to back it up.............
P.s. I am not a salesman for them, just have one of their boats.
