Hello! Just got my first RIB

Hi to every one.

I'm new here. Stumbled onto this site while searching for info on rigid hulled inflatables. I'm in the US (San Francisco area) For some reason, the ribs haven't caught on in the states like Britain and the rest of Europe. Just brought home my first rib this evening. It's an AB 4.5m. VST with a Nissan TLDI 50. Just a fun little cruiser for the bay and area lakes. Can't wait for the weekend to come to try her out.

Nice one!

If you can take any pictures and post them to the Gallery, It'll be good to see your boat and the US coastline.

Thanks Pepper and Viking. I'll try taking a few pics this weekend. My digital camera is a cheap one but with any luck a couple will turn out decent. As for safety equipment, I've got the usual stuff: Life jackets, anchor, flares, GPS and VHF radio, pump and patch kit. I've had a few boats before this one. My last was a 24' SeaRay. It was really too big for me though. Too much maintenance and it wouldn't fit in the garage so it sat out in the weather (it rains a lot here in the winter months).
