help.

my dad who lives in spain has a yam 3 metre inflatable fitted with a 8hp yamaha engine.the problem is he cant get it to plane without a very large friend hanging over the bow,he says when accellerating the bow lifts up and would topple over if he did'nt back off the throttle.how can this be cured?

Here's my twopence worth before the real experts (like Keith Hart) reply.

Move your fuel tank to the bow and strap it into position.
Move your own seating forward, probably by buying and using a tiller extender.
Is your engine long-shaft?

thanks for reply,fuel tank is forward,when i said friend hanging over bow,i really meant hanging right over bow then it will plane.not sure of shaft lenght but cavitation plate is level with hull.

Ask him to lose some weight???

Seriously though ask him to look and to make sure that where the engine locks that middle thing is right down to the very last hole and not up. From what you say I think that this may be the case

This is what I mean when I say THE LAST HOLE
