[QUOTE=Brian;693692]I really don't know what willk is talking about-diesels need a lot of maintenance indeed!
I haven't touched mine (well hardly anyway) for over 2 years now.
Inboards are rugged beasts

Errr no there not typical rib engines are highly tuned complicated beasts that need lots of love & attention coupled to a sterndrive they need lots of maintenance
Stick to your current regime & your in for some BIG bills

I've had 6 diesel engined boats & currently own 2 with 3 engines between them compared to an outboard they are high maintenance

Just from what I saw yesterday morning (technohull), marina Ibiza dry stack might be a good idea for whatever you end up with.

I would go for a Zodiac NZO 700 Cabin with a single 250hp and call it a day.

It looks like there is an NZO 760 for rent in Ibiza if you want to "try before you buy"? : Inflatable boat rent Zodiac NZO 760 in Port dā€™Eivissa, Ibiza | Nautal com

Tubes hate sun, boats period don't like sun.

If I were parking a £65k purchase on a mooring in the Med for all of the summer months, it wouldn't be a rib.

I'd be looking a perhaps an American sports fisher with all the squidgy bits added, or maybe even a Jeanneau Cap Cam WA. All are capable with comfort and a cover will stay on them, unlike a rib.
.
Absolutely. A rib is a very poor choice for something you intend to park up for any length of time in a hot place.

Chris Craft do a " gentleman's runabout" style of boat, or maybe something like a Boston Whaler. If you're thinking of sterndrive, I'd go Volvo (DP) as they seem better at handling lengthy stays in salt water. Outboard choice would be Etec for me, although although I'm a confirmed dyed in the wool merc guy. As for HP, as much as you can afford, you really can't have too much!

Not sure if anyone has seen them but I think something like the axopar 28 would be ideal. I know it's not a rib but the open version is ideal for sunny locations, can get a fair few people on and in price range for a new one.

Hopefully the link works below!

Axopar 28 Open Ā» Axopar Boats
Made in POLAND Augusow city https://www.facebook.com/SLEPSK/posts/568562809937263

In the same city there is a factory make NORDKAP boats:
NORDKAPP-BOATS EUROPE - Nordkapp Enduro 760
very good quality boats.

But if we are at boats made in Poland and RIB's why not to look at PARKER RIB's ? Solid, good reputation and I suppose that they can make them luxury also per request:
Parker 750 RS | Parker Ribs

I do suggest to go and try several boats.

Why not to go to Southampton Boat Show and look & try ?

I think a good bet for the Med is a Capelli - They are mostly kitted out for the sun and very well spec'd. They also have a very good hull quite capable of dealing with the rough stuff.

CANTIERI CAPELLI

They are much more common in the Med than here in the UK.

The Boat Crew in Salcombe are the current uk dealers.
