Help With Seat Options

Hi All. This is a great site with loads of info. I am a rook to the ribbing scene and need help with mounting seats.

My boat is a mercury 430 Oceanrunner, which I have been told were Quicksilver at one time. The problem I am having is how to mount seats, or seat pedestals as I am afraid of the fiberglass deck not being able to hold a configuration that is screwed into it. I have seen these Merc boats rigged with bench seats and consoles, which I assume were screwed down. Just don't want to damage my brand new deck.

Any help? Thanks.

To protect inmaculate deck from scratches, detereoration, place a thin compact protector shaped, cut to full hull's lenght & width. You can even screw pedestals on top deck once protector is installed. Get something rugged thst isn't sliperry when wet or holds water inside. there should be something market available.

I like this idea, but haven't spent a minute working with fiberglass. This is the deck I am working with. Not sure what is under it.Click image for larger version
