I can give Smudge's location close to Plockton a massive thumbs up... not that I've been to his house but we've SIB'd from that general area.
Plockton is an ideal place to operate SIB or RIB. Loads of places to go surrounded by amazing scenery. Good basic supplies locally at Plockton and some nice eateries in the village too. More extensive supplies and fuel etc a modest 7mls away at Kyle.
Smudge your place is very similar in size and décor to the place we rented in Inverinate just above Loch Duich. We really enjoyed the area.

Plockton round in the next bay has pontoons and very easy to launch. You can launch next to the house at high tide - not the easier but what I normally do. If you don't stay with us but in the area and need some advice just ask.

Not true we do allow dogs : ) We just ask owners not to let them on bed and furniture as we have had people stay who are allergic. All ask owners to keep the garden clean for children who stay.
