Holiday !.....Dartmouth Can't wait !

Hi,

I will be returning to Dartmouth (Devon UK) this summer.

Is anyone able to give me a bit of local knowledge for a few hours. Passages planned ; Dartmouth (which slip ?) to Blackpool sands, Salcolme and the Pilchard at Bigbury. I've got all the coastal / offshore RYA certificate stuff etc, etc, but local knowledge + proper gear + reliable RIB is what safety is all about.

Thanks

BootNeck

Dartmouth

Hi Bootneck

I'm in Dartmouth and would be more than happy to give you a bit of local knowledge, we go out from Dartmouth quite a bit to Torquay, blackpool, plymouth etc.

Send me a PM or call if you need to know any particulars

Salcombe and beyond is my patch Blackpool and Slapton sands can experience dumping waves often which are a pain.

The Pilchard on Burgh island is a good pub, but a bit of a tourist trap - the Sloop in Bantham is better in my opinion. There isn't anywhere to tie up there either, so you have to anchor and it's a bit rocky coming from the Datmouth salcombe direction so take extra care.

Any more info or a factory tour if the weather isn't perfect call me on 07836 268747
