Hi Matt,

What a great project!

Out of interest apart from the tubes is there anything you would do significantly different next time?

I spent to much time trying to get a good finish with the resin on the outer hull skins, should of just used 2 pack paint.
I see you have a Gemini industries boat, wood kit or grp ??

Indeed....nasty Jack!!

It is GRP made by Robinson Marine who have now sold the moulds to Gemini, aparently!

I am just having boat retubed by Henshaws, should have it back next week so can start to enjoy it. I take it you fitted your tubes yourself so havent encountered the same problems!

Yes i did fit them my self,no problems as yet with them un-gluing.Must admit not the prettiest tube job in the world ,but not bad for a first attempt and as ive said they have not fallen of !!
I assume he is now selling these GRP hulls without CE plates, how does he get away with it ?? Also do you not have to have 5 chamber tubes to be CE complient ??
Going back to my tube problems, I had a puncture whilst in Oban a couple of years back, LH stern tube, when i took the inner tube out to repair we found that it was twice as long as it should of been, meaning that half of it was crammed in and not inflated.
To be fair he did supply me with 2 new stern inner tubes.
