How fast will your Boat Go

Although of course it certainly is not all about speed people offten ask how fast your boat will go. So I decided to do a little top speed run with 2 of us on board. One is a fat bloke (me) and the other is her indoors who is about 10 stone. We also had about 25 kg of stuff on board.

Here is a little video of the experiment. How fast will yours go

Not many folk measure water speed in kmh but I guess 60kmh sounds better than the pitiful 32kts its actually doing. That old engine must be a bit tired, I'd expect a fair bit more on that boat.
Maybe time for a set of rings & a rebuild

IMHO 10 stone is pretty respectable.

I'll put that down to a lack of regular servicing.

Being able to easily use all is a sign of true ability and yup was fully qualified at 24 years old which is far more than can be said for many on here

I suppose posting this thread was a little foolish cos you actually have to go out in your boat and use it to actually record any data. Now that would be truly novel for many now wouldnt it, and knowing how to create any content, put together a video and upload it would be way beyond them I am certain. You gotta love them all
