Well fellow ribsters
i decided to repaint the hull on smurf (searider )
A task that i looked forward to but would not recomend
it was a pain i wanted to strip the yellow paint off and put back to origional orange

what a job
the only thing that would bring it off was one of those sponge things that you connect to a drill and dust well it traveled aprox 15 mtrs covering everything (carried the job out at work)
well rather than write a book on this thread its now compleated
just ordered a new fuel tank and i have the task of putting engine and consul back on

Don't talk to me about rubbing down hulls,mine was antifouled when I purchased it. As she is not kept in the water anymore I decided to remove it, just to pass away the hours over Xmas. For a change somebody had done the job properly and sanded the hull with a DA sander before painting. This means that I now have the job of polishing the hull completely with an electric polisher. Not a easy job when on the trailer.It will be worth the hard work in the end I'm sure. May even get a few more MPH's out of her.
