How many Pacific 22 on Ribnet
I've count five p22 owners but I think there are more. Is this the greatest concentration of one model of boat on Ribnet?

P222 Buyers group?
Some forums run buyers groups for common items to get a bulk discount. Has this ever been tried on Ribnet? The reason I post this here is that I am on the look out for a spare prop. and if I was buying several I would hope to get a good discount. There is no reason why this would not work for a lot of things such as electronics etc.

spare prop
Des
I picked up my repaired prop today, i was also working on a customers boat in the same place, i tried my prop on his outdrive and it fitted perfectly, even has the same direction of rotation, the outdrive was a BMW, also talking to the chaps who repaired my prop, they said a single prop Volvo would also fit, all you need is to make a new spacer for the back of the prop, but i would think the Volvo one would fit.

Ian, Is this the same idea as the spacer washer that is used behind the prop on the sternpowr leg ? Or a more complicated idea?

Hi Des
yes it is the same thing, but might have to be moded to leave correct gap between prop and leg casting.

Just e mailed Steel Developments asking them to reply to this thread as I see they are selling new Volvo props at £140 which makes a nice change from Lancing at £296.
Now if they brought say a 23 and a 25 down to Ribex we could all have a go to see the difference.
Scary Des, yep France sounds good to me. You can get a lot of Vino under the deck of a Pacific. @ 1 LPM (Red desiel not wine) then thats France and back for £50.
Pete

BMW props
Hi there
Re props to fit the BMW leg. There are two basic types of propeller to fit the BMW.
Series 1 BMW
This is a short hub propeller and any volvo short hub prop will fit directly onto the drive, there is no need for any additional spacers, you use your existing fitting kit. The props are £150 + VAT
Series 2 BMW
This is a long hub propeller. You can fit the volvo type prop but you need an additional spacer, this takes up the extra shaft length. We can supply either a long or short hub volvo prop the choice would depending on the type and size of engine. The short hub is suitable for petrol engines up to about 130hp whereas the long hub is recommended for larger petrol engines and all diesels, this is due to the larger rubber bush. We have spacers available from stock for either the long or short hub. The spacer is £55.00+VAT this enables you to use any volvo SP type propeller. The spacer fits between the drive and the prop and then you use your exiting fitting kit to complete the securing of the propeller. With the spacer you have a much wider range of propellers some of the choices are,
Short hub prop £150+VAT
Solas 3 blade alum long hub @ £135+VAT
Volvo 3 blade alum long hub £185+VAT
Solas 3 blade stainless steel long hub @ £250+VAT
Solas 4 blade stainless steel long hub @ £299+VAT
Hope that information helps
Any queries please do not hesitate to contact me

Sternpower propellers
If the drive is a sternpower, the number of splines is the same a volvo so you can fit this type of propeller with a spacer, but the Volvo props are much smaller in diameter so I don't think they would be a good choice for you. If you are interested in a prop for a sternpower, let me know the diameter x pitch & rotation you want and I will get you a price

P22 with a thernpowr 101 leg
Hi Julie
The sizes I have for this propeller is:- Splined area is 1 1/8th" dia 2 1/4" long 17teeth, end thread 7/8-9 UNC x1
Prop size 16.75" x 21"pitch Left hand the part number from Michigan wheel is SMC807
But I know some prefer different pitch, not absolutely convinces of the pitch because the engine seams to be running at 2700 to 2900 rpm at WOT. Having said that I am told that the tacho is adjustable? Would welcome any advice. Des

Sternpower Propellers
Re 16.3/4x21LH prop
Michigan do not produce this propeller any more but there is an equivalant available the price £265.00 + VAT
Re fitting a Volvo propeller, this is possible but you have to change the whole fitting kit and an adaptor set is £119+VAT. However Volvo propellers are smaller in diameter, the nearest is 16"x21" (this size is priced at £185+VAT)
