I could never believe there would be anybody that stupid to even think about offering that money. I wouldn't even offer a quarter of that and no I haven't read the ad. The pic says it all

It's in a sorry state really. I See it regularly when I'm in the yard it's stored in. Open to all weather for at least the last three years.

To be fair the add does say it'll go to highest offer...which won't be 100k.

It is when it's intact, as soon as it starts to corrode you need a good man on the TIG. Being an inboard it will have a few hull fittings which open up all sorts of electrolytic corrosion possibilities. Ever owned a Landy

Is aluminium not a desirable material for RIB hulls?

Sorry, post repeated by mistake, please ignore.

I'll give you 5k cash for it, by my reckoning it needs a 35k refit, and then it will only be worth 45k all done, this is not knocking you're boat but as the trade will see it and I'm afraid it will be a trader who will look at it, it is as you've said quite specialised and a normal joe will not know anything about the engineering side of the old girl.
My plan would be get it running properly, strip it out, blast it inside and out, paint the engine and jet, epoxy the hull, put it back together, probably spray the tubes, change the console and seating for something more pleasurable, a lot of work for what might be 5 k profit but that's how business works
