How much is a 2003 Tornado 5.8 worth?

I've been helping a friend who has a 2003 Tornado 5.8 with twin Yamaha 60hp 2-Stroke motors. The tubes, engines, snipe single axle trailer are original to 2003.

The boat is well used, tubes are sunfaded and the Hypalon is well worn on top. I wouldn't describe it as tidy or well minded. It's got an A-frame, search light, waterproof storage box, dual batteries, dual tanks. There's one console seat and bottle racks behind.

It looks like a fun thing, and I'd like to help him with the maintenance of it just to use it getting some helm time with a twin engine boat. How much would a boat like that be worth? I'm wondering if should I buy a share in it to have an interest in it, or just help them out and put the gas in to use it occasionally. I have our own boat, and this is just a bit of fun on the side. I like the 2 guys that own it, and they are not particualrly motivated on the maintenance of things unlike me.

A tornado with original tubes is unlikely to be hypalon it will be polyurethane & if the tube tops are faded its likely a retube will be required in the not too distant future
Value wise I'd say 3-4k but budget for a retube shortly.
The usual way it goes is tube tops start to fade then it starts loosing air, fittings come loose & eventually the seams give way around the top seams once that happens its game over

Thanks - yes I was going to investigate the tubes loosing air. I pumped them up hard and came back 4 days later it was much softer. Plan was soapy water next day, then order the C7 valve service kits and see if I can get it holding air before looking at the rest of it.

my friend had one similar story when he soaped it up it was bubbling from behind the rubbing strake in several places .he re glued it a few times sometimes lasting months before a new leak appeared. once it actually popped a seam open sat on the trailer in the sun a good 10 inches on one of the rear cones just came apart . it was obvious the whole thing was becoming un glued.he sold it as a project

Tornado was sold to the Chinese back in 2002, so the first thing to establish is was it a UK boat or Chinese. There was a period where they were still made in Hull to establish the new owners by all accounts. The Chinese made ribs have reported problems with the hull and it's construction.
The value is also quite a bit lower this time of year as apposed to spring.
