How tall is your RIB?
Getting plans drawn up for an extension to my house and garage and was wondering how tall should I make the garage (or hopefully boat house) doors.
I've only a SIB and landrover to fit in at the moment so 7ft high is fine, but want the garage to be future proof for a 7.5m RIB.
So my question is... how tall are ribnetters' RIBs when on a trailer? On trailer, with A frame, antennas folded.
Or rather, how long is a piece of string?
Many thanks, here's hoping the wife doesn't find out the plans for the attached boathouses and large ribs...
Ed

RIB Height
My Valiant V490 without A Frame fits through a standard single-garage door (just!)

Without antenna's and with the aframe standup: about 3.1 mtrs.
With the aframe down she is about 2.3 mtr high. the engine is the highest point.
I don't have a windshield and that makes a bit difference. We have alot of low bridges here in holland and so I use no windshield.

I didnt just send him outside - i was there too - taking the photo...
I only wanted him in the shot to give some kind of scale.
My kids are at that age when they can now do stuff - but if you want it done properly you may as well do it yourself.

NASTY - I reckon kids are often a lot more capable than their parents give them credit for - now put that BLOODY camera down before you drop it!!!!

Luke keeps asking to wash the car for me - I let him with strict instructions not to continue if he drops the sponge as stones will stick to it and scratch the paintwork. This bit has sunk in.
I offer to pay him if he does a good job - so far I have not parted with any cash as about 1/4 of the way into the job it just turns into playing with soapy water and I have to finish washing it myself.
