Very, nice.

I wouldn't be surprised if customs admire it as well in that nice all black colour and 200 horses on the back.

Hope to see it on the water sometime. Would be interested to hear what sort of speed you get out if her.

Nick

Your picture on the other thread is the boat that I have bought. Humber are changing the engine (Suzuki 140 4 stroke) and doing some other bits for me.

I am collecting it on Thursday. I will bring it home to St Neots on Thursday and will take it to Fowey over Easter. I need to find somebody to fit Electronics for me .

Can anybody recommend someone in the West Country

Roy,

Sorry I had Humber fit the original stuff, and when I changed some, a friend from work did it.

Give us a shout when you are down and on the water, it would make a change to meet up with someone. Especially with your excellent taste in boats.

I really really like that centre console - the seating looks like that of my boat (very supportive), but the main console looks like it has more space.

With the 200 on that back, that should get some good flying hours on it

Looks great
I can vouch the seating is very comfy.

Although people moan about Humber, I love their boats
I have 2 at my disposal this summer and will be using them as much as I can!!

Happy Ribbing

Regards

P.S can recomend a nice radio for it!!

Thanks everone for all your kind comments.
I committed the cardinal sin of not going to see it in the flesh before making a decision but am on the whole very pleased.
I especially love the black colour (is black a colour?), the photos just don't do it justice. - I expect customs will love it even more

Aging Youth, I would love to fit it out myself but due to lack of time (work and all that) I have someone fitting and rigging the engine. I will have an A-frame made and fitted (didn't fancy Humbers prices!) Then I will fit the bilge pump, nav lights and electronics myself as time allows.

Roy, looks like a nice boat, congratulations! Should go very well with that 140 on the back, bet you'll be getting better consumption figures than me!!

Jono, there was a 7m there but I think it had an inboard. Poor you - give em hell!!

RLS, yes it depends on alot of things really - prop, loading, fuel, coditions etc. but I would expect to see around 55knots.

Jon, glad to hear the seating is comfy. It certainly seems so on land.
Whats this radio then?

Nick

Hi Nick,
How's the new boat getting on - have you managed to get it up to max speed yet, if so what did you get?

Erm, not up to speed yet, but had about 45 - 50mph I think. (Still running in)
Bit difficult to see the speedo at that speed - watery eyes!

Full report to follow soon - have been quit busy.
