Humber destroyer 150hp 2 smoker speed?
Any one out there advise sort of speed this combination will achieve?
6 mtr destroyer 150 mercury two stroke
not been launched since refurb as of yet, but my insurance have asked for confirmation it will be less than 50 knots? As they rarely get them on the books with a 150 on the ass end,

Hi Nugent, is that on or off the trailer?
With that super slippy paint job and go faster engine decals I recon you stand a good chance of breaking the 50 limit!

We used to have exactly same set up and used to get 44 knots with 4 pax and full fuel load. Fantastic boats always got us home no matter the sea state.

In "Theory" you should be able to work out the maximum possible speed based on WOT/prop pitch/gearbox ratio. Knock 10-15% off for prop slip & weight/windage & feed that to the insurers.

I had 6m destroyer with 150 Honda on the back. I know it's a four stroke. But top speed was 40knots.

When are you planning to do a top speed trial as I want to get a 150hp for mine and am very keen to see what your speed results will be!
