Ok so after the RA2014 trip, all the rubber sections under our tubes was hanging off after SIT had stripped it off and realise it. Weren't happy with the work, they offered to re do it, we said no thanks, they've offers no recompense saying that's the trouble with adhesion on old boats. They never told us it may happen. Can't be bothered with them any more.
Anyways, had it all stripped off and a second layer of hypalon put on in black. Looks mint and had a first blast today, we've regained the top speed and throttle response and smashed our previous record. We nailed 53.7mph on the GPS with about a small tide with us. Very happy. Less weight and drag. Mint.

Done through ABC, contracted out, top price, bent over and took it. No choice.
Smart job done though, looks really neat. The boat feels lighter and smoother again, definitely using less fuel and top end awesome. Outran the Seawake aircraft with 225 on it. Did 53.7mph, we couldn't break 45mph even with the hull refurb on Round Anglesey. Plus we used almost 1.5L p/mile! It's back down to 1.2 ish again, less drag.

Wasn't impressed. Just all came off. Plus we'd asked for 4 grab handles, which they just had forgotten to do when we collected it. Get the impression they're more concerned with commercial work. Fair enough.
