Hysucat on eBay

Is this anyone on here - ebay 260750897984 ?

It seems very cheap for a 6m cat rib - although the engine covers look a bit dodgy ...

They might just be seeing what they can get, it would not be the first time someone has put a rib up for auction only to end it early rather than have a reserve.

A school play got in the way of bidding and I wasn't confident enough without an inspection to snipe it - oh well, another day, another boat to look for !

and I bought it !!!

Not owned a RIB before so this should be fun.

Needs a bit of a clean up but seems solid.

It will be used in the SW Irish waters so a long tow back to Ireland ahead !!!

Now back in Ireland - bit of a long tow (600 miles) but fine and running well on muffs.

Needs a good tidy up and clean so basic plan is to use and abuse for this summer while collecting ideas / parts for a winter spruce up !!

List so far is:
Sort the console out
Engine covers - paint
Engine - catch holding the cowl
Electonics - wiring
Floor wires
Remove old antifoul and paint ...............and more to be added I guess

I owned one once for about 2 months it had twin honda 50 which were fine on calm days with just me abourd.Allthough it had a nasty tendancy to veer off to starbourd sometimes when going flat out for no reason at all. Not funny especially when not much searoom.
Tried taking four mates diving and couldnt get on the plane.
Other thing is you will need a dry suit as it is a very very wet ride in anything other than flat calm.
Maybe mine was just underpowered.
Maybe the foil was bent.
Then why arent there more about
have fun and keep us posted on how you get on please
regards Geoff
