anyone know how to date an avon sr4? i've found a patch with a load of numbers and letters on it, would this do it??

That would make my SR 4M 51 years old!! Ser No:- 00161. If this is the case it is not surprising that the ply in the transom is shot, as is a section of the deck just behind the seats.
