I got distracted and drilled my battery mounting pilot hole through the bottom of the boat...twice.

Worst case of this I have ever seen, was when some one was fixing a head liner to a deck. His screws were far to long, and his driver very fast, radio on loud and cracking on with the job until some one stuck their head in the boat a hollered at him to stop. He had put one of his super long screws straight into someone's heel and fixed them to the boat.
Trouble was quite a few had gone in since then and he had to work his way back to get the attached guy free. Just imagine watching the screws disappear as you wait for the one to unwind from your bone. Ouch!

In the safe hands of my local Honda techicians, my brand new sports fisher got a 12mm engine bolt hole straight through the splash well!

I heard about someone that wanted to fit some hardware in to the foredeck of an Osprey Vipermax and drilled straight though the deck and in to the fuel tank.

Well managed today to repair the damaged!
Used a wide diameter countersunk to lessen the angle on hole on outer hull, ground the stainless screws down added sikaflex and fitted the d plates to secure fwd tank
Back to outer hull again ,lad I know at grp place in ashington got me some fibreglass paste to fill in holes , after few how's it was rock hard so orbital sanded the small area .
Paint picked up from boat yard I used to work in an that's tomorrow's job
Once finances allow I think new tubes from sit and before it goes I shall completely refurb hull and flowcoat it
