I made major mistake!!!
Well the build is nearly complete but I've gone and made schoolboy error
Fixing down fueltanks should have been a simple job until I picked up the wrong sized self tapers out toolbox , then stuck them through my hull!!!
I could cry !! Gutted is the word!!!!
I marked and measured then gently pre drilled to correct depth to be safe then in moment of madness and concentration I picked out the 50mm screws instead of 25mms and the damage was done!
Was only fitting D plates to deck, buff and rough up area they sat, sikaflex then the 4 screws just to hold them better.
Still can't believe I've done it!
Guessing now I need to join the holes up as so close, dress bck a few mm , fill and glass in then blend area to hull once dry.

I'm not sure if it's a Ribnet urban myth or not, but there was talk a few years ago of someone doing something similar & not realising so until he came to launch his bote, only to find he'd screwed it to the trailer

i did that when fixing my first nav frame! i used chemical metal, sanded with a tiny piece of sandpaper and touched up with paint - been fine since.

It's not an urban myth. He might even come along and confess again, though he's probably never going to hear the last of it.
