Idea of value please Avon Rover 3.40m
Looking for an idea of the value of an Avon Rover 3.4m with 2 seat jockey console bow locker (with seat), no repairs to tubes. I think it is 2002/3 has 25HP Elec start manual trim/tilt Mariner 2 stroke and snipe roller trailer.
Engine has been serviced regularly every year except last year as only did 2-3 hours and has done 1 hour this year. There is one chip in the gle coat under the hull, always washed and flushed after use and garage stored. Started easily and runs great, don't think there is an hour meter on the motor but a guess would be under 100 (sad really)
Thinking of selling it, its been owned by my dad from new and has all original paperwork and manuals.
Great family boat easy to launch by hand tow behind a hatchback will tow a ringo just need a lightweight rider and lightweight spotter (I am no longer lightweight and have run out of victims to tow.....)
If anyone can give a guide to the going price i would appreciate it.

No, just whining about not getting any replies.
You might like to relax a bit and be less confrontational. No one owes you an answer, and trying to hassle people into responding is unlikely to work well.

Google is your friend.
There's one here going for £1500 albeit with a smaller engine but if you stick it on ebay, assuming you can get some pics, with a 99p start on a seven-day auction you'll find out what it's worth by this time next week

I generally feel the depreciation year on year for this kind of stuff is about 20-30%. So buy a £10k Rib and keep it for less than a year you'd probably get £6-8k for it assuming its in decent condition.
Second year and it looses another 20-40% so drops to £5-7.4k, 3rd year to £4-5.2k
Not sure what the boat cost new - £4.5k for a decent 3.5m rib these days. Plus about 4k for an engine that size. Plus trailer - I guess you could have a package for this for £9k new...
Lets assume it was all a 2003 package. 11 years old, 20% depreciation. It might only be worth c£1k. But you may be able to convince a buyer that although its 11 years old they are buying a prestine example that might as well be 6 years old... £2.5k? Wouldn't be holding out much hope of that value though... either advertise at that and be prepared to drop or put it on fleabay wth a reserve set for the depreciation value and hope it does for more - which with decent ad and pics and the right location etc I suspect it will...
Not sure if anyone's tried depreciating accurately or engine + bot vs engine & boat seperately. Suspect engines depreciate faster than hulls...
Don't want to upset you but:...

Difficult-it's quite a smart boat. Is the engine the same age as the boat?

Thanks for the compliments it's very clean and tidy selling due to lack of use (possibly)

Trade Sale £800
Private Sale £1300 to £1500
Is my view. But considering how nice it looks perhaps stick it in for £1800 with emphasis on low hours and excellent condition. With lots of shiny pics.

I'd have put it at a bit more than that, given that it looks almost unused. I had £2k in my head, given the time of year as well as people are looking for boats now.
