Identification of rib hull.

I recently saw ca. 6m rib when i was looking for new truck. I took a photo of it and now i am planning to buying it. Seller dont know where it came (this guy has over 100 military trucks and as lot of other ex-military stuff...). I couldnt find any nameplate. I an asking that someone seen similar hull and can identify at least manufacturer. It looks like it has inboard engine. Thanks for help.

It looks very Halmaticesque to me, but I’m no expert on the marque. @GuyC?

From that angle the hull itself is obviously not on show, but I'd agree it looks very Hallmatic like based on the very pointy shape of the tubes at the Bow, plus the shape and style etc of the seating and other fittings that remain.

Possibly a venerable old Pacific 22, but that's a real guess.

It does look in the style of a Halmatic but I don't think its a 22:
Console too far forward.
Engine box too far back.

However, many have been "Refitted" over the years.

The deck edge appears to be raised up which I don't think is a Halmatic style.

On the stbd tube by the diff housing is a stripe that looks quite a lot like the USCG insignia and the SG 005 looks quite American as well.

I haven't a clue but it does look quite interesting.

Just found that polish border guards ( Straż graniczna in polish ) user sg as prefix for their boats. So it is ex polish border guards rib.
Edit: Model of boat is SPORTIS S-7500.
Thanks for help. I am hoping that i could buy this for reasonable price.

Of that age and Polish made it has to be a Sportis S 750. Interesting how it found its way to the U.K. I have just sent an email to somebody I know at the SG to put some light on the history of SG 005 . Will post the feedback

Ok I can tell you now that SG 005 was made long before 1999 as in August of that year was the first Polish Rib Race called Baltic 99 . In those days ribs were in the infancy in Poland and were were only used by commercial operators like SAR , Border Guards, inland water rescue ect Rib SG 005 was entered into the open class and was the only one in that class . The race was from Puck in the Bay of Gdansk to Leba which is on the coast. Playboy Poland was the main sponsor [emoji16]. There were two teams from the U.K. Hugo Montgomery Swan with Paul Lemmer on a Sportis 4.7 Rib and Mark “Dog” Phillips and myself on an Avon 5.4

Sorry for changing the subject of the post but just dug out the magazine with the article and photos from that race. Sweet memories. See photos

If the OP is in Poland then that explains all. Perhaps he will confirm

I guess they wish they were there cos it was one of the best rib events I had participated in and I have attended many over the years. All in the Millennium issue of Rib International with lots of photos [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

The PR brief was likely "get maximum exposure for this one" and there was a section for Inflatables...

Yes that I gathered . My source tells me that SG 005 was decommissioned in 2009 so 10 years after the rib race and for a short period of time was owned by the MD of Sportis . Probably that is when it was repainted. I remember that rib very well and at the time was probably the worst ever rib made by Sportis . The console was right up against the anchor locker and the crew complained of the terrible handling
Today Sportis is a far better producer and their models are far superior then the ones produced then. Probably they would not want to admit it came out of their stable.

My advise would be to walk away and look for something better
Best of luck

Powodzenia

Loving the detective work Andre!

To the OP - wouldn't be out of scope to shift the forward helm back. Be interesting to see what sort of condition the engine and stern drive are in too. Any other goodies at that military dump site?

Cheers , this thread has brought back lots of good memories from that race especially when I went through the Polish magazine and Rib International where the race was published

Lost contact with Mark “Dog” Philip. Does anyone here know him or his whereabouts
Would love to catch up with Dog as it was he who really got me into ribs
