What was the point in doing that?
Its just mindless, spiteful t**ttishness.
Why do that to someone else's property?
It can't be much of a high.
Do they still have the birch on the IoM, (or are offenders forced to listen to Rick Wakeman play keyboard)?

I'm several stages angrier than birching. I spent a huge amount of time last summer re-fitting this boat for a marine conservation charity. I hate people sometimes.
There's no CCTV, most of the boats don't even have wheel clamps as "this kind of thing doesn't happen on the Isle of Man".

And could they have a feature to discourage such behaviour in the future, fill the tubes with botulinum or wire the toobs to the mains - nothing too lethal

Get a quote for new tubes and then go to the local paper with the cost of the damage, some one knows who did it.
Also, who ever did do it is obviously carrying a knife so that should get the police a bit more interested.....

It's a wonder given some of the mentality of people these days that it doesent happen more often ,
The old Atlantic 21 display/ publicity boat that was used by Rnli branches in the midlands for education events was vandalised a few years ago
With similar damage ,
We had some young youths blatantly trying to stab another boat once with a blunt pair of scissors even though they did no damage one of them decided to come back with a dart ,lucky one of his mates must have had a guilt feeling & forewarned us so we were ready for him when he came back .
Don't know if its jealousy , or that boaters must be different from most people & therefore make a good target ,
Another time we were just about to launch waiting at the top of the slipway when a father & young son comes up to the boat ,the father then starts to Animates/mimes with a slashing & stabbing action looking back at the rest of his family with a grin on his face
so what's his or any other young children watching going to think when they next see a boat .

I should have said "That is in Peel isn't it?".
Just been down there and noticed your boat in the Marina Park.
Have you reported it to Mike yet?
Let me know if there is anything I can do.
Bastards aren't they? I reckon it was drinkers at the Creek Inn on the corner.
Be glad when they ban all alcohol completely
