Last Friday I set of for Ballachulish to pick up Cowal from Tony & Jess at Quinquari, but brake failure on the Jeep meant collection was a no-no.
Got to try the boat out on Loch Leven though - excellent!
Towed a yacht up the Loch. Ungrateful git.
Also got a coach ride from Ballachulish to Glasgow... yawn.

Anyway, setting off again in an hour or so. Hope bring the whole rig southward tomorrow, so all being well we should be splashing around the Clyde next week sometime.

In the meanwhile, here's one we took earlier

Were you that git that came zooming around a narrow bridge (ardery) at 90MPH on the single track road last wednesday between Strontian and Salen by any chance? (between 1 and 3 in the afternoon) RIB looked similar to yours... It was going so fast i only cought a glimpse I.e. Orange flash

Got back home at about 1530 today - 125 mile trailer on West Highland roads. Interesting. Worst roads are here on Arran. Ho hum.

Andy - that's the Ballachulish bridge, so no real rapids there; just a 4-5 knot ebb tide. Ended up hauling out at the Holly Tree down the road.

Mr-d - no, that wasn't me - at about 1500 on the Friday I was in the lay-by at Benderloch with a seized caliper on the Jeep. Must have been someone else. Anyway I've never been on that weird looking ferry you've got up there...

But now looking forward to kitting out, then getting to know Cowal properly.
