See....information like that just makes my day!
OK, so looking for an old tug to do up and use as a live-aboard......that'll keep me busy into the wee hours.
I can imagine the misses face when I tell her I'm off for a tug!?

It was the "simson s", but is now called the lone ranger.. (Stuart's previous post mentions it)...
and if money was no object, an original Riva Aquarama..

A few years ago I had a regular run down to Falmouth, the couple were involved in fitting out a super yacht called the "Ilona".. They let me have a looksee, (after having to take off my shoes.. ), the luxury on board was unbelievable.. But it looks like it wasn't enough for her owner, who renamed it "The Lady Christine", and had a new "Ilona" made, complete with a helicopter deck that rose up..
Lady Christine.
Ilona.
Ilona's specs.

Both Ilona and Christine are loverly boats but a little past a roll over jackpot!
But seeing as we're in that area:

It'd do nicely!

Tugboat fitted out like a palace.
Our ex-neighbour fits out things like that and another he is working on is a big ole ice breaker with a very reassuring looking hull that's going to be absolutely stunning.
Gone to Croatia that one.

mid-atlantic - Mine would be staying put in the Caribbean with me onboard. A large fast RIB would need as a tender of course!

While we are in "dream" mode I also have a plan for the perfect RIB.
11-12m with hard nose compartment containg compressor, oxygen cylinders and mixing panel. Twin inboard diesels with deep V hull and rear cockpit with 4 really good seats laid out 2 + 2. Full width dash with windscreen and full folding waterproof cover open at back but covered top and sides. small 3m dinghy hung off stern with put put motor. Small galley at one side, enough for soup and tea making. barbie mount at rear of cockpit over water.
Full clear deck space except for cylinder rack. Bench on front of cockpit full width. Canvas awning that would fit over main deck like tent so remote good weather diving can sleep on boat. A toilet would be good but not sure where it would go and not be in the road!
This would be the ideal boat for exploring the west coast and islands from Oban rather than trailing the little boat around and launching nearer in good weather

I just read the Round Britain challenge thing for Bumblebee. You must have iron constitutions! The longest trip I did in one day was about 90mls and I couldn't walk properly for three days, and that was calm weather

You are all very very.........
.......SAD. If I won a double rollover I wouldn't be thinking of RIB - Cars - Homes - Planes or even Trains. I'd be on the look out for one of these - actually, two

I've got one of them Meme........that's why I can't afford a lottery ticket!
If mines anything to go by you'll need more than a rollover jackpot (In this context that could me something completely different....but I'll soldier on as if I hadn't noticed) to keep them in the manner that they are accustomed to!!
And a boat will still look good in 30 years time!
