Thanks everyone - still trying to recover - being kept waiting from 6.30am until about 11.30 in baking hot sunshine with no food or drink really doesn't do you any good at all.......

Will be posting photos soon.

Hi Codders
Again good job. on the trip. HOWEVER: take right hand, grasp ankle firmly, pull hard and remove foot from mouth. My family town is "Redcar, Yorks." Your sense of humour is ??????. Have not seen anything funny so far. Please keep trying and suggest engaging brain before touching keyboard.
Regards, L.

Hey, codders, what's this about being left out in the sun with no food and water... sounds like you've had a tour in Iraq!

I think a tour of Iraq would have been a lot more pleasant - at least I would have been allowed to shoot the locals!!!

Did you need to talk to the local office at all or was all the process and payment handled by yachtline?

Yachtline is a pure formality - they didnt really want to know!!! I have dowloaded and posted off the customs form C 1331.

Main one - commercial road - really excellent but a bit of a sharp breakover on the top - not really a problem unless you have an 11m trailer. I had to remove the jockey wheel.

Staff at Weymouth port were brilliant - let me park the trailer FREE overnight - Discovery was in Condor's secure compund.

Lovely suprise when I came back to find Disco and trailer waiting outside ready to go - what a relief when you are so knackered!!!

I'm impressed with that- you don't often see that level of service anymore.
