Impressed!

I was towing my RIB down the A30 early last Thursday morning and was stopped by Mr Plod who had a report a of RIB stolen overnight! I was really impressed that they were on the look out!

This certainly improves my view of the police service!

Well, yes. I was a tad over.....

He was very polite and when we parted company, told me he was turning off so he wouldn't impede my progress.

Positive or what!

Essex Police Marine Watch

We were stopped on the way to Burnham on Saturday . Because there was a public weighbridge close by , I was expecting a thorough trailer check , but it turns out that Essex Police were promoting their Marine Watch Scheme . Apparantly threre has been " a high number of boat related thefts " , they were spot checking anything water-borne on the road . The chap with the jet-ski in front of me didn't look too happy as they were showing quite a bit of interest in his PWC . Anyway if you are Essex based , or regularly travel through there , you may wish to register all your boat's details on the police website . Sounds like a good idea to me !
