Whilst trying to dock in Yarmouth yesterday we had to wait for a large (read massive) yellow jet RIB from a local Sea Venturer organisation to make space for us. After we had enquired with a couple of lads sat on the engine bay as to how long they would be and being told they were going in a couple of minutes we decided to wait. After a short wait a couple of slightly older lads jumped on the boat and proceeded to fire it up whilst the younger ones took all the fenders in. The lads then expertly manouvered the boat out of its tight berth and off they went. I put this ease of manouverability down to the fact it was jet driven but my mate who has years of experince on such RIBs said they are actually quite difficult to manouvere. I was even more impressed then. A totally proffesional bunch and if anyone on RIBNET is involved in this organisation then they should be proud of their lads boat handling skills. Certainly put my berthing to shame.
