In Case You Didn't Know!
Sorry if this has already been discussed (couldn't find it).
We were notified a while ago about a recall on the 6-cylinder Mercury Verados. However, I'm amazed at how many of my Dry Stack customers with these engines don't appear to know anything about it!
So, for the benefit of any other RIBnet member whose "lucky" enough to own such a beast and hasn't been informed, then here's what I've been told.
There is a known fault with the "Bell Crank & Shift Shaft Stud" (try saying that after a few pints!) and it requires replacement. I have a Mercury engineer carrying out such a replacement as I type!
