Inflatable Tow Toys

I'm going to the South of France with the boat when my exams have finished and really want to get a toy to tow behind the boat where the climate is a bit more pleasant than the north coast of Scotland. There are so many types I have no idea which are the best. Don't want to spend a fortune but would like one that could take possibly 3 people, do i go for a good old banana boat or something more adventurous, mind you i don't want to kill myself.

There are loads out there - which all do different things - just look and see which grabs your attention!!

Having said that, I have been told that you are unable to get insurance to tow toys that carry more than 2 people at a time - so worth checking it out with your insurers before you buy a 4 man 'wing' or a banana!!

Mind you, how do all these outfits that tow bananas/toys off the beaches in summer do it?

Commercial Insurance for Toys is fairly Easy as there are only a few places that do it, and they stipulate hi levels of RYA qualifications. However, personal for more than 2 people would be tricky.

I would reccomend just stick to Single or double person toys as IMO more than 2 person is dangerous as you can end up hitting each other, and doing damage.

having said that, the traditional DONUT is just as much fun, and i found when towing only one person the inflatable goes much quicker!!

decided to go for the o'brien u-tube, carries 2 people, which is what the insurance allows and looks like good fun.

Wake jumping behind the gustas, azi's and pershings is fun enough in the south of France!!. Tip- becareful where you donut/ski, these big 100 footers arn't very friendly or forgiving towards ski boaters.
