Inflation Valve In tube passing

Hi
One of my inflation vales (one way valve) is passing badly on close inspection notice the centre plastic peg that holds the spring had broken.
Can i change this valve without going inside the tube, can pull the inside base through the hole (possibly by warm the tube with hair dryer) to make more supple advice please
Thank Stuart
