It's renewal time .... I have been using Porthcawl Insurance Brokers for over 20 years
Thye currently use Cardinal Mark Policy

Can't fault craftinsure. Been with them for years. Never had to claim, thankfully.

Good example - my insurance is under a launch and retrieve policy as I'm a lot of others are too. We were heading to Argyll last Friday morning and it suddenly dawned on me the boat would be in the harbour so the policy needed changed temporarily. Quick phone call, cover added (excess is doubled if you claim), but for nominal fee I was covered for 14 days.

Craftinsure! as a family we have made 3 claims & all were dealt with promptly & fairly, My pal had a partial sinking of his yacht & had a claim of over 25k which they were good with too.

OK tried CraftInsure .... they turn out more expensive, about 15% more.
I have emailed them with a Q, to see if they want to review quote.

Although I don't have any recommendations for an insurer, I did come across this web page last night (I have no connection to the company to whom the site belongs), which mentions some interesting "get out clauses" that insurers might use to avoid paying up (in the section named "Common Exclusions in Boating Insurance Policies").

Trello.

I jumped to GJW a couple of years ago when a certain Mr M wasn't able to quote - seem to be competitive.
