Likewise, I recognised that boat from the build thread on here for one of the independent Solent lifeboats. A nice looking RIB and some interesting ideas, so sad it didn't work out for them.
A shame they seem to have ended up with a vessel not quite suited to their role/area, but definitely not the first people to regret buying a larger boat! Hopefully they can move on at minimal loss and find their ideal boat.
That's a bit sad as I'm guessing they are selling it for less than it cost them and being a charity, it must be pretty catastrophic for their accounts and / or their fund raisers.
I wonder if there is another independent lifeboat station that needs a boat.
Maybe Solent Rib Charter could add it to their fleet.
