Interesting RIBs on theBAY

Sure many of you, like me, trawl through looking for interesting stuff /RIBs /Projects (don't tell the wife......)

These two caught my eye today...

I was sure someone was looking for a RIBworker on here a while ago??? A project (for sure) but doable.....but not cheaply I suspect (not if its to be done correctly).... Ocean Dynamics Ribworker 30 - RIB _ BOAT | eBay

and then this..... Not entirely sure what a 'Mariner Longcraft' is (its an Ocean hull.... and I really like Oceans ) but its clearly had some SAR use (not ex RNLI ).... Anyone here know her history? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mariner-Lo...item232d30d257

Dan, that Ocean Dynamics is right up your street.
Bit expensive though.

Looks like an RNLI Atlantic console in the Ocean.

That Ocean Dynamics RibWorker used to hang on a mooring just beside the Parkstone race hut in Poole Harbour a few years ago. I've always loved the RibWorkers, but this one always looked a bit tatty, not particularly well looked after and very rarely seemed to move. But at that price would be an excellent project, as the hull is probably rock solid!

I think she would probably divorce me if I brought that home..... It would fit in the barn though, she hardly ever goes in there

It looks similar, but pretty sure its not (Atlantic inspired for sure).... That Ocean has me intrigued....

Such a shame to see these old beasts neglected.... There's another I know of which I've had my eye on over the years. Not quite as bad and is used, but in a poor state of repair..... Lets hope someone brings her back to life!

£10,020 for the Ocean Dynamics.

If you have the ability to overhaul the engine, or drop in a replacement, possibly not a bad price for such a serious RIB.

When it was going for £5000 with an hour to go, I was rather tempted to bid (despite not really having any more storage space at the moment!), but with the Ribtec still on the driveway while I overhaul the Bravo drive, couldn't really justify paying any more!

Would love to see the RibWorker it once it's back on the water though.

Not entirely sure what a 'Mariner Longcraft is

Think they meant to say Mariner Longshaft?
