international number 9 thinners ,help please

Removing some paint from the hull of my boat , top coat is international Toplac and comes off with hot pressure washer and turbo lance ,leaving a grey primer ,maybe one coat maybe two , however wont move with pressure washer ,or have tried nitromors (yellow tin ) to no joy ,,,,,,, international number 9 thinners softens the grey and then with a lot of rubbing and cloth well wet , starts to breakdown and comes off a treat .
so question is at £18 a litre anybody know similar to number 9 thinners without the over inflated boating price ?? thanks]

Have you tried a standard cellulose thinners from a car paints supplier? It will probably do the same think for £12 ish for 5 ltrs or £30 ish for 20ltr drum
I've cleaned antifoul and the primer off a few hulls with it. Keep the rags nice and wet and change them once saturated with paint

And I have no idea but what about acetone... at least it's only £18 for 5l delivered. Could test the principle with some nail varnish remover??

I always have acetone in the workshop and it's removed so many paints, sealants and glues that have been troublesome with other solvents.

thanks for this tip . had tried a few more general thinners but athough a little softening not really good enough ,however you reminded me of a can of machine enamel gun thinners i had and sure enough ,not as powerful as the number 9 but doable with a grey rubbing pad
Don,t think cellulose is avail any more however maybe its just named a little different , my local motor shop have tetroseal in 5 litres for a tenner ish so will try that as well and report back when i have purchased
thankyou https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tetrosyl-...0AAOSwym1crcPm

Standard thinners as in your link.
Removes lots of stuff from various things.
Need to be a little careful on a painted or plastic surface as it can soften paint & cause considerable damage to some plastics.
As ever, try on an inconspicuous area first.

If you want a 25 litre drum try a local motor factor.

International Thinners No9 is a Polyurethane Thinner (PU) and therefore probably contains one or more of the following solvents, isobutanol, xylene, ethylene acetate and acetone.

There are plenty of PU thinners on the market, you can get some from your local car body supplies shop, which is probably also made by AkzoNobel. However, PU thinner is not a cheap product, but might be less money outside of the marine environment !
