Introducing 'Alca Torda' (it's Finished!)

Launched at 0500hrs 1) to catch tide and 2) to avoid any onlookers whilst remembering how to helm jet ;-)......took Razorbill along as a safety measure just in case.....

All went v well.....weather was miserable....v wet so cameras stayed away (think there are some shots on a camera phone somewhere, but mate who was home on leave has gone back to Culdrose, so may need to chase it up.....

Anyhoo.... she performed well.... had a small oil leak on one banjo joint, now rectified......and in a decent chop achieved 34 knots into a slackening tide, but into it all the same......seems 35 was realistic....poss a bit more.....poss downhill

My thoughts are; theres definately a lot of weight on the move, I'm looking forward to mastering the jet......Turbo lag /maintaining boost is a consideration, and dropping the bucket is great fun....Oh, and the Halmatic hull barges through lumps with considerable ease

The wind is up here (again)..... strong SWesterlies yesterday, now W, NW which meant we had to move 'Alca Torda' off her swinging mooring and into her sanctuary mooring inside the harbour..... Before we did we had a little play off the outer breakwater (hence the relative calm in pics)......

Opened email today to find these sent over .... Can't go to sea, so posting them here
