IoW write up in PBR Magazine

Got my March/April PBR through this morning with the write up & photos in it.
There is one great inset picture of a ruggedly good looking helm & his crew in the photos

They have a very different definition of "small" ribs to mine - I would have said with only 4-5? sub 5.5m ribs, small ribs were in the minority - certainly not half the fleet.

Shame they didn't publish any details for this year's event or even mention Rib.net as the community / catalyst for the event

Although I haven't been able to get the mag off Mrs T for a proper read yet, there is what looks like a very interesting article by Andy Proudfoot about his overboard experience on the Round Ireland event last year.

Lots more posts about this here:

I thought it was really good and certainly picked up on how much effort everyone put into it

With the usual jounalistic licence allowing (about rti) I thought it wasn't a bad mag in all.

Glad to see myself in print/pictures (note only the more handsome crews featured so no matth or AJ).

Hugely interested by mustribs full story.

If anyone still hasn't got the pics taken by our tame photo guy they're still available :-)

Lovely to see them mention Roy...!

Good to see Taurus getting herself into the picture :-)

For the record I'm not Chris Caton as the details suggest, and my photographer friend was called Clint, not Chris. Good old PBR...;-)

I know he would be smiling at the irony of finally getting Osprey into PB&R.

I've just got back from 2 awesome weeks doing on-water training (yippee) and have been catching up on the latest issue to distract me from my dull desk job! In my opinion, Andy's article is the best article they've published in quite some time. It should be required reading for anyone taking up RIBbing.
