Hi fellar
We went through the same dilemma last year, sold our hardy seawings 254 and bought an avon 560 (not everyone's cup of tea but we've had a lot of fun).

I've got to admit I really miss waking up on the water but our we live in Harrogate and towing the cruiser was a real chew. We now have the rib, discovery, winch, front tow bar, and an inflatable tent ;-)

We did Cornwall this year and loved itClick image for larger version

There is a Scorpion 8.5m for sale with a 250hp Yamaha, at Lymington Marine Sales.

Scorpion RIB Brokerage - Lymington Marine Sales

From the pictures, I can tell that the centre console is the 'loo compatible' version. So, with a bit of marine plumbing, you'd have a easy fix. (assuming it hasn't already got the loo fitted).

I'm not going to write an essay about the sea-keeping qualities of Scorpions here but rest assured, you'd have one of the finest handling ribs ever built. If you're around Hamble before November, I'll be glad to demonstrate!
