I've been looking at that RIB too, apparently it is almost certainly already sold though.
If I bought it, I'd get a 50hp 2 stroke to go on the back (Plas Menai seem to be selling a 3 year old mariner for £700, seems to good to be true - www.plasmenai.co.uk)
I'm in a similar position, I've got up to £3000 to spend on a RIB, and I want something no smaller than 4m, but about that size, to run RYA courses on, as I am a PBI.
If anyone reckons they have a 4m ish with a decent engine on the back, must have centre console, mail james@edgeoftheenvelope.net and we can talk about it!
I am at Uni in Portsmouth, but live in North Kent, so anywhere relatively local to either would be good.

Seems to good to be true £700 for a 50, its obviously a genuine sale, but may be high hours. May be worth finding out if its been used on a training boat or as a rescue boat. If its a rescue boat fine, but if on a training boat I would get it checked over, just think of all those beginners grinding the gears!

which could be ok remotes can be fitted. most second hand 50 hp mariners are
ex rnli mariners ive seen them at £1400 with a four month warrenty which can,t be to sad the remote kit was about £200 should be a new batch soon
and some are ex greenland engine god knows what they are
