Is The London Boat Show Worth Visiting To Buy A Rib

I'm going to buy a new rib. I want to see a selection at a boatshow and wondered if the London Boat Show was worth a look. I'm coming in from The Netherlands so do not want to waste four flights if there are not going to be any RIBs there. Ladies and gentlemen: your opinions als je blieft.

If you are interested in a Tornado, Zodiac, Marlin Cabin RIB, Possibly Ribtec or Ribcraft then yes. If not then no!

Add XS-Ribs to that list also. I went last year and ended up buying. One thing for sure is You will get a better price at the boatshow.

I think I heard Solent Ribs are gonna be there too, but I could be wrong. Expect most mainstream RIB manufacturers to be there, ie: Avon, Valiant, Zodiac, etc.

There are some photos from last yrs show here to give you an idea of what its like:

Worth going even to look at the engines!! I'm going next year definitely. By the way International Visitors get a special pass to get in free if you plan to go more than one day and there is also an International Visitors Lounge!!

Taitharris, nearer the time, have at look at their website and there will probably be a list of exhibitors so you can judge for yourself whether the selection is worth a trip! The website is http://www.londonboatshow.net/ but no exhibitor list yet . HTH

Oh no! You mentioned the Euro Commuter! Cue Manos, Pete7 and Dirk Diggler debating when/if this boat will ever materialise...

taitharris you can certainly get good advice and there were lots of RIBs this year.

Plus meet some great peeps in the business...
By chance we met Paul Ferry of Ferryman RIBS who told us all about his RIBS in Derry.

Little did we think he would turn up in July in Fahan (Northern Ireland) and fix the JS engine FREE OF CHARGE on the round Ireland trip.

So you never know...you may see the boat you've always dreamed of ... get some brill advice; or meet a great contact.
