Is this a searider?

Looking at the photo it does not look like a searider to me.
The varnished deck and transom does not look right.
I think it is a standard inflatable WITHOUT the rigid hull.

See if they will email a photo of the hull. That should confirm what it is.

regards
rpm

Dont think its a searider, looking here at an old avon 1990 brochure it looks to me like an avon supersport .typhoon s.i.b. i thought sea riders were r.i.b.s.

Just called and was told its not a RIB, but it is a searider.

The guy is insistant that Avon made two types of Seariders, RIBs and Non-RIBs.

Almost as bad as all the Ebay SIBs that are called RIBs, but you'd expect more from a dealer.

Saw that one myself weeks a go when on the lookout for one and established very quickly that it was definitely NOT a Searider. Very misleading, as you say Nasher, especially for a dealer

Good reason to avoid him I guess.

Definitely a 4m Supersport SIB - rated to 40hp. Decent boat, but a bit 'neither here nor there' - lacks the portability advantages of a SIB and the rough water capability of a RIB.
